Good Chats: Subtropic Studio
I'm honoured to have had the opportunity to speak at @subtropicstudio for Good Chats.
I gained so much insight and loved interacting with familiar and not-so-familiar faces. It put things into perspective, challenged the way I think and reflect on where I'm at in my life right now, and the beginning of my artist career.
I have stumbled into creating art as a means of personal expression, development and healing. For a long time, I kept to myself and created for only myself. Moving to the Sunny Coast in the last year has been so positive for me and the arts community is insanely talented and supportive.
At Good Chats I was able to finally show friends + strangers my visual / written moleskines. It records my life in a different, more positive way and I'm able to look back on some of the reflections I had at the time. I haven't shown many people this part of me, and it challenged me in all the best ways. It allows me to step back and really communicate what's inside because I still have trouble communicating verbally.
Thank you to all the wonderful humans who came, flicked through a very personal yet necessary part of my life, and were open to sharing their connections with my story.
