march 22 mood

Spraying my studio walls with marks, listening to West African Psychedelic Funk tunes and leaving the studio a human painting.

An accurate picture of my last month.

I have been relishing having a space where I can go to create without any boundaries.

My studio days have been about focusing on how to translate my voice with paint, oil sticks and spray paint.

I often find myself sitting in the centre of the room, reading through my moleskines for inspiration and for ways to speak through meaningful marks.

The March 2022 mood board includes a range of imagery from poetry, foam formations, glittery seas and new creative endeavours.

As I prepare for an upcoming group exhibition, delving into new ways of exploring my process and output has been valuable.

More beach visits, consciously reading my backlog of written words and transforming them into paintings.

Never before have I attempted to make clay sculptures, but here I am. I have found it very difficult and also meditative.

Blue legs, words and my studio corner.
