May Mood

Blue makes up the main colour in our world, it is around us everyday; We see the blue of the ocean and the sky above us. For me, it’s a reminder of the richness of life. It is calming, grounding and constant.

As I become complacent painting with acrylics, I often pull back to painting simpler scenes with ink.

Within this work, I imagine myself within the frame - there are fresh flowers on the table, Solange is playing, and I have the warming company of friend within this space.
